I am thankful to be writing to you. It has been a couple months since our last update. God's faithfulness continues to guide our path. We are filled with gratitude for the ways He has led us. I am blessed to share that Chloe and I have the opportunity here in New York to pour into two different ministries, and focus on doing them both really well. The first is the continuation of pastoring and making disciples amongst the youth at our local church. It has been a blessing to see these young men and women grow. To grow in secure identities. To be bold about their faith and invite friends from school to youth group. To step more into scripture and prayer. May you continue to lift up prayers for the generations to come. That Godly men and women will continue to rise up. We hold a responsibility as followers of Jesus to guide others in the ways of the LORD. May God continue to bless you with opportunities to pour into others. To keep in step with the Spirit of the living God, bringing glory to His name.
The second ministry is a local coffee shop called New City cafe. It intends to combine business and missions, with a very similar perspective to what we helped start in Costa Rica. The shop is located in the city, amidst a neighborhood that deals with high crime rates. The cafe is very focused on our neighbors. To provide a space for those in the community. Not only this, but the cafe seeks to hire those from the local community, supplying them with work, while also mentoring them towards their dreams for the future. This will usually look like a year long program that prepares them to pursue other passions with the funds and experience the cafe provides. Chloe and I are supervisors, involved in the daily operations of the shop and other leadership opportunities. We ask for your prayers over the workers we have. For God's guidance, and also for their salvation.
These are the two areas that we are investing our time into. Your continued prayers play a vital role in ministry. Thank you for your support. Chloe is doing a lot with our Christian apparel business, so I will link the page down below if you are interested. Some Christmas apparel is coming!
Another big thing on the horizon is our youth group overseas mission trip! We are leading the youth down to Costa Rica to partner with a ministry that has a rehab center for men, and one for women and their children. When we arrive, we will be going out in the capitol city, proclaiming the news of Jesus on the streets. From there we go out to the jungle where the centers are. We will be helping in a variety of ways, from physical labor, to delivering supplies to local villages and schools. We ask for your prayers over the preparation of this trip. One part of preparation is fundraising. We will be doing a coffee bag fundraiser soon, so keep your eye out for that. Also, each individual on the trip is looking to raise $1,000 to fund airfare. All other expenses will be raised through diligent group fundraisers. If you feel led to be a part of Chloe and I's fundraising amount of $2,000, attached here is a link. Blessings!
