May 2023 Ministry Update

Updated: Aug 30, 2023

Hello everyone! I want to first thank you for your continued prayers. We thank you for the times you pray on behalf of us. We are excited to share another update with you all!

  • First, I want to continue to share the testimony of my brother in Christ who was on the streets last year and is now walking with God. He has been able to spend more and more time with us and our friends. To be surrounded by community. He recently graduated his program at the rehab center and we threw him a party! The Spirit within me continues to rejoice every time I get to be around him. Please be praying for his son here in Jaco. He went missing a couple weeks ago and there has not been much clarity.

  • Secondly, I mentioned a friend that works in security. He is the same age as I am. He is really busy at work, but I have been able to stop and talk with him. I gave him a Bible this past week and I plan to go through the Word with Him and share the good news of Christ. Please pray for his heart to be open to receiving Christ as his savior.

  • Chloe is meeting with a young women weekly to pour into her spiritually and dive into the Word of God. Please pray for continued guidance in that relationship and for the continued sanctification as believers in Christ.

  • I have gotten more opportunities to talk with men on the streets here in Jaco. Please pray for them. That they will be able to receive the help they need. That God will wake them up to the necessity of stopping drugs and alcohol and finding Him. They like to pretend they can have both.

  • Our friend from across the country who runs a rehab center is coming to visit us. He is coming to pray with us and help support the vision of starting a rehab center near Jaco.

  • The rehab center that my friend graduated from has a bridge that connects to their location. It is in very dangerous condition, so please be praying for the ability to create a new bridge within quick time. It crosses a big ravine that has snakes and would flood in wet season (which is coming up soon).

Coffee shop:

  • We have been bringing t-shirts from the states to sell here in the coffee shop. We have been able to spread the news of the Gospel through apparel, as people throughout Jaco are wearing shirts that proclaim the name of Jesus!

  • My brother in Christ from the states has been able to get trained as a barista here at the coffee shop. It has been awesome to be able to give him that experience and training. We have grown very close and I have seen God's calling to walk with him in discipleship.

  • Business has continued to grow to reach more people. We have made consistent friends that come and also continue to meet many from across the world to share the love of Christ with.

Thank you so much for your support again. I hope these blogs are a blessing to your heart. May it remind you and me of the faithfulness of God and how abundantly good He is. Please reach out to share any questions or prayer requests. We love to hear back from you all!

Hebrews 12:1-2

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

God be with you!
