Jun 2023 Ministry Update

Rehab vision:

• This past month, I got to go visit a rehab center that our church partners with. I took my friend Aydan from the coffee shop, my friend Ramu who has gone through the rehab and is now living for God in Jaco, and a friend from another coffee shop that is Christian. We also brought Ramu's friend who cuts hair. She helped Ramu give the guys at the rehab some haircuts. My friend Aydan got to share the Gospel with her on the drive there. It was a sweet time of encouraging her in the truths of God amidst hard circumstances. We bought some food for the guys at the rehab to bring as well. When we got there we hung out with them for a bit and then shared time in the Word of God. We each brought encouragement that we felt led to share. Shortly after we visited, this rehab found a new place to stay as well! A huge answer to pray as the bridge to their property was getting very dangerous.

• Our friend Max that runs the mens center across the country came to visit with his three boys. We got to spend lots of intentional time with them. We took Max to the properties the church is looking at for the mens center near Jaco and we prayed together for God's will in this vision.

• My brother in Christ Ramu is making a transition out of a job here in town and is looking for work. Please be praying for a job for him and that God will put him in the place that He desires.

Relationships:

• We have a friend from the call center next door that has really opened up to us about Christianity. He came to church for the first time this past Sunday and we have been diving into bigger discussions with him. Pray for his salvation!

• We had a team here this past month that was very passionate to share the Gospel throughout Costa Rica. They shared with many people on the streets of Jaco, and many Venezuelans and Colombians turned an ear to the message of Christ. Some of them professed faith in Christ and got baptized as well!

• Chloe and I got a weekend off this month to have a little anniversary trip. We stayed up in the mountains for two nights and had a restful time in God's creation. We spent a lot of time praying together for God's guidance and continued work through us.

Coffee shop:

• The coffee shop has continued to be such an intentional place for relationships! We have a space for great growth in discipleship with fellow Christians, and those who are not Christian really have noticed that we are not of this world. That we are of a much more beautiful kingdom full of peace, love , and joy.

• Our t-shirts sales have been really growing! It is such an awesome way to support our continued mission work here. Teams come through the ministry and are so happy to be able to get these shirts and proclaim the Gospel through apparel! We are starting to ship shirts in the states too.

• My buddy Aydan who was helping out in the coffee shop and that I was growing in discipleship with has now gone back to the states. He is helping out at a camp and is eager to share the Gospel with others there. He is a bold and loving man for Christ and it was a great joy to have him here.

Partnership:

Chloe and I are praying for God to open doors with partnerships in our ministry work. God has continued to solidify a missional calling in our lives and a pursuit of full time ministry. Please pray about being a monthly partner as we continue to pursue this vision!
