Youth Group Mission Trip!

Hello family and friends!

In the last update we sent, we mentioned a great opportunity on the horizon for our youth group. An overseas mission trip!

We are going overseas for mission work with an organization called the Masters Workshop. They are based in Limon, Costa Rica. And there is a way for you to help! 

What?  We will be supporting a local ministry that seeks to restore men and women from the struggles of addiction and life controlling problems. They have not only a men's center, but also a center for women who have young children. They provide a safe refuge from the difficulties and temptations in homelessness, and provide year-long mentoring to restore them back into communities. Many lives have been radically changed by the opportunity the Masters Workshop provides. There will several ways we are serving: providing resources to the centers, delivering Bibles and water filters to villages, preaching the Gospel, and building relationships with the people.

Why? A relationship with Jesus completely changes one's life, and this opportunity allows us to share that change with others around the world. We are all made in the image of God, meant to live in and show His love to others. We are meant to do this in all places He sends us and all seasons He brings us throughout our lives.

Short term mission trips also provide an amazing opportunity for the youth group themselves to be radically changed by their experience. So many present day missionaries were influenced by a trip they took when they were younger. These trips are fresh soil for a growing passion for Jesus.

Prayers: We are inviting you to partner alongside us in God’s work because this is not possible without your help! First and foremost, we ask for your prayers. Prayers for God’s provision and guidance over the trip, and that our work brings glory to God's name. Secondly, we invite you into prayer over the amount of $2,000. This is Chloe and I's target goal to raise individually. This funding will make it possible to lead the group for the trip. We are very excited for the youth to be able to serve others overseas and for their own lives to be transformed through carrying out the Great Commission. We are grateful for your partnership with this mission trip through prayer and/or support.
